God Protects Us...

Our Security is in His Power, and in His Name

 

There is no one like the God of Jeshurun [Israel], who rides on the heavens to help you and on the clouds in His majesty. The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemies before you, saying "Destroy him!" (Deuteronomy 33:26-27)


...He has delivered us and He will continue to deliver us... (2 Corinthians 1:10)


"Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor Me." (Psalm 50:15)


The LORD has kept the promise He made... (1 Kings 8:20)


O LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven above or on earth below -- you who keep your covenant of love with your servants who continue wholeheartedly in your way." (1 Kings 8:23)

"I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of My Father's hand." (John 10:28-29)


We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true. And we are in Him who is true -- even in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. (1 John 5:20)


This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us -- whatever we ask -- we know that we have what we asked of Him. (1 John 5:14-15)


...And this is how we know that He lives in us: We know it by the Spirit He gave us. (1 John 3:24)


How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! (1 John 3:1)


My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense -- Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. (1 John 2:1-2)


Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. (James 4:7-8)


Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom He promised those who love Him? (James 2:5)


Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (James 1:2-4)


If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. (James 1:5)


Because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them. (Hebrews 7:24-25)


God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them. (Hebrews 6:10)


Whoever believes in Him is not condemned... (John 3:18)


Whoever believed in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him. (John 3:36)

In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:37-39)


If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (Romans 10:9-10)
